Usually, friends share things in common or a similar interest like in arts, sports, computers or music. In fact, many friendship develop when people engage in an activity or hobby. They share ideas on how to improve themselves in the area of their interest.

Where dowe develop friendship? We find close friends in school, through workplace or neighbourhood.

How do we develop a friendship? You do not distance yourself from people. Be kind and polite, join a club of people with similar interest or find friends from online chatrooms or make friends using a pet.

Friendship is like a bank account. You cannot continue to draw on it without making deposits. Maintaining a friendship takes great effort. You have to meet or call close friends regularly, sending SMSes and e-mails and essentially be generous, sensitive and even if you disagree, learn to keep quiet.

Friendships are important, good friends are helpful and provide advice. They give good recommendation and tend to be affected by their friends. They adopt good habits when the friends have them. Positive friends are like sunshine, they induce you to have a positive outlook to be confident.

Harmful friends make you do harmful thing who influence you to take drugs. They think drugs are 'cool' which have a negative attitude to life which make you narrow-minded in outlook, even distance yourself from your family and do harmful things to yourself.

Friendship can sour, greed can destroy a friendship, some people use friendship to earn money as they do not value friendship and take you for granted, unrealistic expectation and hurtful communitcation.

We should cherish a good friendship to continue to be constant and have firm friends.
